SBIF Sashakti – Psychosocial Counselling & Addressing Violence Against Women

Saraswati Educational Society (SES) is promoting holistic development and building the capacities of women through a Psychosocial Counselling Centre that addresses Violence Against Women (VAW) in communities. The Psychosocial Counselling Centre offers integrated legal, healthcare, and counselling services. Under this project, support groups and community awareness programs will empower 2,300 women and create a lasting support network.

This project is supported by SBI Foundation under its Women Empowerment vertical, named “SBIF Sashakti”, and aims to facilitate an ecosystem of safety, security, and freedom for women.

Project Location:
The project is operational in six locations in East Delhi — Laxmi Nagar, Jagatpuri, Meet Nagar, Seelampur, Seemapuri, and Shahdara.

Project Beneficiaries:
Women from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds who lack awareness of their legal rights, healthcare services, and counselling options.

Resource Centre:
Establishment of centres to provide legal advice, psychosocial counselling, healthcare access, and family as well as individual counselling for affected women.
